Let the good times roll....

The PRC issued a press release that
clarifies the revolving confusion
regarding the Nursing Licensure
Examination on June 2008 and November 2008.

The commission earlier issued Memo dated
November 29, 2007 with the early
deadline in filing applications (April
11, 2008) for 2008 Nurses Board Exam. In
this regard, PRC released a new memo to
clarify this issue. So, it is now
confirmed - the deadline for filing the
June 2008 Nursing Licensure Examination
is until April 18, 2008 and November
2008 Nursing Licensure Examination has
applicatin deadline until October 17, 2008.

PRC SETS NURSES LICENSURE
EXAMINATION FOR YEAR 2008

The PROFESSIONAL REGULATION
COMMISSION announces that the schedules
and deadlines in filing applications for
the Nurses Licensure Examinations for
year 2008 are as follows:

The PRC is now accepting
applications for the June 2008 NLE at
the PRC Central Office and at the PRC
regional offices in the cities of
Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao,
Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban,
Tuguegarao and Zamboanga. Some 80,000 to
100,000 or more examinees are expected
to take the NLE in June 2008.

Graduates of March or April 2008
will be accepted in the June 2008
examination, provided, they will be able
to submit, at the time of filing
applications on or before the deadline,
all the documentary requirements, i.e.,
Transcript of Records with scanned
picture, Birth Certificate in NSO
security paper, Notarized/Sworn Summary
of Related Learning Experience and OR/DR
cases, .

The PRC enjoins early filing of
applications to avoid over-crowding at
the PRC filing centers.

APPLICATIONS WILL NO LONGER BE
ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE.

Additional Note:

The rumor circulating via text messages
that there will be no NLE on June 2008
is not true.

Graduates of March or April 2008 can be
accepted on June 2008 NLE provided they
complied and submitted all the
requirements on or before April 18, 2008

PRC extended the deadline due to
expected large numbers of June 2008 NLE.
It was estimated that 80,000 to 100,000
are going to take the Nursing Board Exam
on June 2008. With this big number of
examinees, the 20-30 day grace period to
prepare the needed materials and
pharapernalias for the said exam is not
enough. this is the reason why the
lengthen the period of preparation to 43
days.
